Algarve

The coastline of the Algarve is almost 200 kilometers long and very varied with small bays, impressive cliffs and long sandy beaches. Would you like to enjoy it? From 10 September to 10 October 2021 is your chance!

In some places the water is calm and shallow in the beginning: ideal with small children.

The impressive rocky beaches of the Algarve have been voted the most beautiful in Europe many times. You will find the steep cliffs and golden yellow beaches between Faro and the southwest cape Cabo de Sao Vicente near Sagres. East of Faro the beaches are long, sandy and flat. Praia de Faro is close to the city and can be reached by car and public transport. Most other beaches in this region are located on sandy islands. They can only be reached by boat or footbridge. About 60 kilometers along the coast is a nature reserve: the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa. Praia da Ilha do Farol is located on the island Ilha do Farol. In the small village Farol there are some small white houses, a single restaurant and a high lighthouse. Furthermore, you can enjoy peace and quiet and vast beaches.

The seaside resort Albufeira is the most popular vacation resort of Portugal and is located in the district of the same name. Here is close to our upcoming wedding location! Of course in these days we will not stay in one place but hopefully visit the many small bays and fishing harbors. Albufeira is originally a fishing village and built against the rocky coast with mostly white painted houses. The beautiful sandy beach is often occupied by holidaymakers, but also by colorful fishing boats. In the center you will find numerous restaurants, terraces and stores where it is often pleasant until the early hours. Albufeira also has a beautiful marina.
